The Following Technique builds on everything you learned in Single Hand and Mirroring. In this course, you will learn how one hand leads and the other follows—creating a gentle, flowing movement where both flags move together like a dance. The focus of this course is sensitivity.

Not only sensitivity in your body, but also a soft awareness of the Holy Spirit’s leading. Each step is taught slowly so you can understand rhythm, distance, spacing, and timing between both hands.

This course is perfect for beginners who want to grow their coordination, and for experienced flaggers who want more softness, grace, and connection in their worship movement.

You’ll learn how to:
  • Use one hand as the leader and one as the follower
  • Create smooth transitions without touching or crashing
  • Increase flow, grace, and softness in your movement Strengthen spacing and timing between both hands
  • Build a prophetic sensitivity as you respond to the Spirit

 The Following Technique includes:

  • Basic 8
  • Upper-Back Circle Motion
  • Big & Small Circles
  • Figure 8 with Back Step
  • Right–Left Side Circles
  • Figure 8 with Integrated Leg Lift
  • Forward X
  • Backward X
  • Front & Back Circles (Foundation of the Windmill)
  •  40° Wrist Rotation

As you practice, take time to notice how each movement speaks to you. Just like spoken words carry different meanings, the same motion can release a unique message for every person. God designed you with your own voice—and in worship, that voice moves with power, purpose, and beauty.

A Note from Called to Flag
At Called to Flag, we don’t assign spiritual names to each technical movement. Not because they have no meaning—but because movement itself is a language of worship. Every motion declares, proclaims, and expresses something from the spirit, and each person hears it differently. Giving one “name” to a movement can limit your freedom. We want you to move with the Holy Spirit, discover what each motion means to you, and express the worship that God is stirring inside your heart.
